Waffle Porn: Yeast-Raised Vegan Waffles with Nasturtium Flowers, Fruit, & Rosemary

Nothing tops a yeasted vegan waffle quite like fresh, crispy nasturtium flowers right out of the yard. They have just a bit of spicy kick to them. These flowers are also great in a salad, or as decorations for a brunch table or waffle bar. But the best place for anything beautiful is right on top of a delicious vegan waffle.

This nature-based inspiration provided a great opportunity for a waffle photo shoot. I also had fun with some fresh rosemary, blueberries, strawberries, and bananas to add some color and flavor complexity. And, of course, a bit of maple syrup to top it all off.

If you haven’t had a healthy serving of waffles lately, perhaps these photos will get you in the mood again. But if it looks so good when you’re done decorating that you’re afraid to eat it, I take no blame.
