Are you excited about vegan waffles, recipes, and waffle parties? If so, sign up to host a party at your earliest convenience. This year, the first hosts signed up* to host a May or June 2013 event will be included in random drawings. (Minimum number of signups must be reached before 5/23/13, and shipping only within US; see note below.)
After the first 10 hosts are signed up (not including me), we’ll choose five lucky winners to receive a two-pack of Surprisingly Vegan’s new vegan and gluten-free waffle mix, courtesy of Surprisingly Vegan. (See my recent review of this product.) According to Isaac at SV, this is enough to make roughly 20 waffles in a traditional 9-inch round waffle maker, plenty for a waffle party. Thanks, Isaac! If we have at least 25 Global Vegan Waffle Party 2012 hosts signed up by Friday, May 11, I’ll randomly select a winning host for each of the following three prizes. Hosts who have already signed up are included:
Technical, drop-dead, zombie-police-state-enforced deadline is 11:59 PM Eastern (GMT -5), Friday, May 11. But I probably won’t actually be awake then, so if a few last-minute hosts sneak in before I get up the next morning, I may have to let it slide.
Winners announced in comments here and on Facebook Vegan Waffles page by Sunday, May 13. So tell your friends to host a party, too! Per the 2012 Host List, we’re about halfway there as of the date of this post.
I realize that many waffle makers are much more than $20 or $30, but we’re low budget here, and this is just an extra little way of saying thank you for helping with meaningful causes!
This one’s pretty simple and easy to enter. Just comment on this post’s link at the Facebook Vegan Waffles page * with the phrase, “vegan waffle parties are awesome!” Two entries will be randomly selected to win two cookbooks each: one hard copy of the Global Vegan Waffle Cookbook, and one hard copy of Vegan Chocolate Seduction.
Entries due by 11:59 PM Eastern (UTC -5) Sunday, Feb. 12, with winners announced by Feb. 14.
