Waffle Porn: Yeast-Raised Vegan Waffles with Nasturtium Flowers, Fruit, & Rosemary

Nothing tops a yeasted vegan waffle quite like fresh, crispy nasturtium flowers right out of the yard. They have just a bit of spicy kick to them. These flowers are also great in a salad, or as decorations for a brunch table or waffle bar. But the best place for anything beautiful is right on top of a delicious vegan waffle.

This nature-based inspiration provided a great opportunity for a waffle photo shoot. I also had fun with some fresh rosemary, blueberries, strawberries, and bananas to add some color and flavor complexity. And, of course, a bit of maple syrup to top it all off.

If you haven’t had a healthy serving of waffles lately, perhaps these photos will get you in the¬†mood again. But if it looks so good when you’re done decorating that you’re afraid to eat it, I take no blame.
